![]() ![]() It is a result of the evolution of the instrument.Instruments transpose to make it easier for musicians to switch between members in the instrument family. There are four major reasons an instrument might be transposing: Said another way, music for the French horn sounds a perfect fifth lower than what is notated. The notes they see and play on sheet music are a perfect fifth higher than what is heard when played. French horns are often called "F Horns" because they are pitched in F. You can see that in with the French horn. "When an instrument plays a C, it says its key." When I was a young musician, I was told this saying. For example, if I was playing my French horn and saw a "C" in the music, the pitch that would come out of the instrument would be an "F." The note you see on the music is the pitch that is sounded.Ī transposing instrument is one that sounds a different pitch than the note written.įor some instruments, the note they see in the music isn't the note that is heard. Simple, right? The piano is what is known as a non-transposing instrument or in the Key of C. If you play a C on the piano, then you hear a C. ![]() ![]() ![]() Microsoft Solitaire Collection is a pretty great app to have if you like to play cards. Just like with Xbox, the game data syncs with your Microsoft account. ![]() It even has extra perks like daily challenges, user clubs, experience points, online play, server-wide events, etc. Despite signing in with Xbox Live on all platforms, the Premium subscription doesn't work across platforms: you'll need a Premium sub on every platform you play. For example, the new Microsoft Solitaire Collection contains multiple games like Classic Solitaire, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, and TriPea. Jumping up to the Premium tier gives you bonuses in TriPeaks and Pyramid and double coins for completing daily challenges. If you want to get rid of the ads, you can pay $1.49 a month or $10 a year. There are video ads that need to be watched if you want to keep playing. Microsoft Solitaire Collection is free to download, but it's not entirely free on any platform. Completing the various event objectives gives enhanced experience, helping you gain more levels and titles. The collection also offers timed events on a regular basis, which are similar to the challenges and focus players on playing a specific game for a few days. The collection also has daily challenges that push you to try each game and achieve a certain score or suit of cards. The levels unlock player titles and badges, or new card backs. There's also a progression system, where you gain levels and experience in each game the more you play it. With Microsoft Solitaire Collection, you can play Solitaire, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, and TriPeaks. Thus I have allowed for the 'office' to actually reflect whoever had a predominant 'voice' at the time. The British have MANY potential Armament ministers since the 'office' was spread out amongst a number of ministers representing many 'vested interests'. I'm not sure if ministers with different ideologies from the head of government can serve so many of them have two or more ideologies, sometimes with different stances for each, to enable them to serve in different 'coalition governments'. The Ministers have their Political Ideologies, stances, loyalty and dates of availability. Australia/New Zealand have very minimal manpower while Britain's people/government are very opposed to what will prove an unavoidable step (this is why there were so many 'schemes' including the Kitchener 'New Army' scheme, Derby's 'pals and chums' and 'volunteer' schemes in an attempt to avoid conscription.) The 'schemes' should provide manpower at cost to vital industry while Conscription should provide manpower at a more minimal cost to industry but a high cost in dissent (particularly if enacted in 1914-1916). The issue of conscription should dog the British commonwealth governments as they struggle to maintain their fighting divisions at the front. ![]() But then India will have a set of problems all her own). ![]() In addition there is the issue of conscription as the British commonwealth, particularly Britain herself has never relied on conscription to fill her ranks (hmmm. When this does not prove to be the case, scandals and dissent begin to plague the governments with accusations of corruption or mismanagement of the war. The general pattern is of coalition governments being formed from the disparate threads of the opposing political parties with a fervent hope that it will be a short war. ![]() The list is by no means exhaustive particularly for the Commonwealth governments.
